Flower Power
Color takes over here in a way that feels joyful, layered, and full of life. This piece developed through many, many layers, paint applied, scraped back, reworked, and built up again over time. As the surface evolved, traces of what came before began to show through, and the imagery of flowers slowly emerged from within the layers themselves. What started as a structured composition became more expressive through this process of revealing, where each mark carries a sense of history. For me, it’s about allowing the painting to evolve naturally, letting what’s underneath find its way to the surface. It holds a sense of renewal and discovery, where beauty isn’t placed on top, but uncovered from within. A feeling of growth, energy, and time all working together to create something alive and unexpected.
